Recently while talking to Holy Spirit about the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, I got a picture in my mind of a bow and arrow being tightly positioned before being released. I felt very strongly the Lord said in that moment in regards to December, 2019, “DO NOT DROP YOUR ARMS!”
He reminded me of a scripture that a friend gave me earlier this year, Isaiah 49:2: “He made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me a polished arrow; in his quiver he hid me away.” What He said was that the past few years have been a polishing, shining and purifying of tools and weapons for many whom He has called. He hid many of these tools away in special places while He was preparing them to be precise and unbreakable. Toward the end of 2019 He started taking out His weapons from the quiver and preparing them to “launch” in 2020. I believe that there are many sharp arrows being set in bows as I type this, and they are being pulled back tightly and aimed directly before being released in late 2019 or sometime in 2020.
I saw that just before an arrow is released, there is a great deal of tension in the arms of the archer. When the arrow is set securely in the bow and pulled back as far as it can go, it is done with a smooth, steady action and held briefly to identify the target and get a precise aim. What I saw is that as God wants us to launch our weapons into 2020, we have to wait on Him before we either shoot it or just give up.
Some have known that He said that the release will take place in 2019, and you feel weary at the tension of the wait just before you let go. I felt Him say, “DO NOT DROP YOUR ARMS!” There are several weeks left of December, and now is not the time to give up.
Others are feeling a drive to just jump out and launch immediately, without feeling the tension of adjusting to the wind and getting the exact angle needed. I heard Him say again, “DO NOT DROP YOUR ARMS” and do NOT release until He gives the go ahead. You need the tension to launch properly and go as far as possible.
December, 2019 is very important to a proper release of these “polished arrows” that He has been hiding in His quiver. DO NOT DROP YOUR ARMS. Do not let go. Rely on His strength to make your arms strong and fit in the tension and wait.
“Yet his bow remained unmoved; his arms were made agile by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob” (Genesis 29:24).
