The Weight of His Words

I woke up this morning with great anticipation. As I was meditating on a promise that I have yet to see, I heard Him say, "Do you trust My words?"

Of course I trust Your words, Lord. "Do you TRULY trust what I say...no what if's, no 'if it happens,' no buts...."

Yes Lord, I believe that I trust what You say and have said to me...

Then I heard Him say, "Put more weight on My Words"

His words are weighty. Weighty enough to stake our lives upon. This is the year of the WEIGHTY WORDS!

Weightiness: the state or quality of being heavy; the quality or state of being important; having or exerting influence, power, etc.; influential; important or momentous

To believe and trust His words means they are highly influential in our minds and hearts. It means that when He speaks, we are 100% in agreement with what He says, regardless of what we see or what our finite minds maybe cannot understand. His words are so momentous that our lives and decisions day in and day out revolve around what HE has said.

I heard Him say....We know that our foundation is Jesus, but everything else that we build must be from the blueprints of what God has spoken to us, even if it looks odd to others.

I heard Him ask, what have I said to you? When He speaks, entire worlds and realities are formed. Life bubbles forth. Freedom reigns. The powers of darkness are shattered. We must wage war with what He has spoken over us.

This charge I entrust to you, Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare... - 1 Timothy 1:18

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding - Proverbs 3:5

I believe that I woke up with anticipation this morning because the Lord's words truly are weighty. I have been choosing lately to wage war with His promises and build my life upon them. We can live with an anticipation of GOOD because God is good. We can make weighty decisions in life based upon what He has said because He is not flippant or frivolous with His words.

God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? - Numbers 23:19

I believe that some people are struggling to make the weighty decisions because they are focused on what they see in the natural instead of what they see and hear in the Words of God. I hear Him say, "Put weight back on my words! Attach your faith to My words! Engage with My words. Wage war with My words. Build your world on My words. I will outdo your wildest dreams! Put weight on My words. I am BETTER than you can imagine."
